UX Research & Service Design
Strategic consulting using human-centered design methods ensures an efficient investment of the company’s resources. Through a comprehensive process, we identify stakeholder needs and extract actionable insights, guiding services and product development.
The research is divided into five main parts, which together facilitate the development of the right features in the company’s products and services:
- Preparation for research
- Information Collection
- Insight Extraction
- Ideation process
- Recommendations and action items
Product design
Crafting an interface for optimal user experience and sustained engagement.
How It Works:
The process involves several key stages:
1. Product characterization: Translating insights into wireframes and features (If in-depth research isn’t conducted, I’ll conduct small-scale research).
2. Low-fidelity Interface Design.
3. Prototyping.
4. High-fidelity Interface Design (Subcontractor).
5. Handover to Development.
Duration: Varies based on product complexity.
What You’ll Receive: Wireframes, Prototypes, UI Design (Look and Feel), Design System.
Usability Testing
Do you aim to enhance your product? Prototype before development to ensure user-friendliness and cost efficiency.
By setting KPIs, crafting questionnaires, conducting user interviews, and extracting insights, we pinpoint areas for improvement and preservation in your product.
How It Works:
1. Define KPIs
2. Build questionnaires (including scripts if needed)
3. Profile and recruit participants
4. Conduct interviews (face-to-face/online)
5. Extract insights
6. Present findings and recommendations
Duration: Dependent on number of Interviewees (Minimum 2 weeks)
What You’ll Receive: Focus group, prototype, insights, implementation recommendations, prioritization.”
Ideation Workshops
An ideation workshop is vital for enhancing products, services, or strategies, fostering an experiential, fun, and effective environment that deepens empathy among stakeholders.
How It Works:
The workshop spans up to 4 hours, beginning with a preliminary session with the company to define the main challenge, understand barriers, and identify opportunities. We assemble a multidisciplinary team to offer diverse perspectives and ideas.
Duration: 3-4 hours
Participants: Suitable for 5-15 people
What You’ll Receive: A pool of original ideas ready for further development into actionable items and features, through user testing via prototypes, interviews, observations, etc.
Advantages:
- Diverse Perspectives: Benefit from a variety of viewpoints.
- Collaborative Environment: Foster innovation through teamwork.
- Structured Creativity: Follow a guided process for effective idea generation.
- Problem-Solving: Tackle complex challenges with innovative approaches.
- Speed and Efficiency: Quickly generate, iterate, and decide on ideas.
- User-Centric Solutions: Design products/services focused on user needs.
- Prototype Validation: Test ideas early with prototypes for feedback.
- Team Building: Strengthen team dynamics and ownership of ideas.
Teaching Service design
One of my greatest passions is teaching research and design, particularly in projects with a social and environmental impact.
I had the privilege of being a founding partner, curriculum manager, and leading lecturer at the ‘Florence Project’ – Bezalel Design and Innovation Lab at Soroka Hospital.
